More About the Opportunity:

We’re offering a 12-month parental leave cover for a Senior Legal Counsel to join our Legal team at the Cannon Hill Support Centre. This is a unique opportunity to step into a senior advisory role within a dynamic ASX and NZX-listed organisation operating across Australia, New Zealand and Canada.

You’ll work closely with the General Counsel & Company Secretary, providing strategic legal advice and leading cross-functional legal initiatives - particularly supporting our marketing, digital and merchandising teams to implement consumer facing campaigns and communications. This role is ideal for someone with strong competition and consumer law expertise, commercial insight and a passion for stakeholder engagement.

A part-time arrangement may be considered for more experienced candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead legal functions across competition and consumer law, marketing and promotions, merchandising, supply chain and credit compliance.
• Provide expert advice on consumer law, corporate governance, and regulatory matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts with suppliers and service providers.
• Apply project management skills to deliver legal initiatives aligned with corporate strategy.
• Liaise with external legal advisors and manage legal risk across the Group.

More About You:

• Law degree and current practicing certificate in Australia.
• 8–10 years PQE, ideally with in-house experience in commercial and consumer legal roles.
• Strong legal acumen with the ability to translate complex legal concepts into actionable business guidance.
• Experience with ASX-listed companies and corporate governance is advantageous.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and project management skills.
• High ethical standards, sound judgment, and commercial acumen.
