It is an exciting time here at Michael Hill. As we move into The New Era so does our product. We are looking for a Planning Assistant to join our global Planning Team, full time at our Support Centre in Cannon Hill, Brisbane.

 

This is an opportunity to provide expert support to the Planning Team. You will effectively manage the administration, data and system requirements for the relevant Department, whilst working closely and learning from our Merchandise Planners. This essential role will help drive category sales, profit and inventory efficiencies for our retail and Ecomm business.

 

This exciting role would be a great segway into Merchandise Planning for a current stock inventory coordinator, allocations, stock analyst, or an administrative professional who is a whiz in excel looking for a change in career. A passion for retail is a must!

 

In this hands-on role, your Primary responsibilities will be to:

  • Assist the global planning team in all areas of weekly, monthly and adhoc reporting
  • Use advanced administration skills to help ensure data integrity for the planning department
  • Work in various systems such as D365, PIM, Jasper, Onyx & Excel simultaneously ensuring the systems align through outstanding attention to detail and monthly audits
  • Provide Planner with analytics and suggested actions to support assortment decisions
  • Assist in aspects of the ranging process with the Merchandising team including managing inventory target levels by SKU/store, raising purchase orders and assisting with markdown/pricing management
  • Communicate information effectively to multiple areas of the business

The successful applicant must have:

  • Strong excel skills & a love of spreadsheets!
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Enthusiastic about career in Planning
  • Excellent attention to detail and desire to follow through with processes 

 

The successful applicant will ideally have:

  • Possess strong communication skills to partner effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to work proactively in a team environment as well as independently
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and problem solve
