About the Role:
As a Retail Operations and Asset Protection Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to establish and maintain exceptional operations management practices across our retail network. You’ll work closely with the Retail Leadership team to develop and implement processes, improve inventory management, and support the reduction of inventory loss. You’ll also help ensure safety and security standards are consistently applied across all stores.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement compliant processes, documentation, and best practice guides.
Coach and guide retail leaders on effective inventory management practices.
Support inventory counting and stock take processes, working with the Audit team for verification.
Design and implement strategies to enhance safety, security, and loss prevention.
Provide assistance in reducing shrinkage across the business by supporting underperforming locations.
Participate in 1:1 and group training sessions, collaborating across multiple departments to enhance product knowledge and sales expertise.
What You’ll Bring:
Experience in retail operations, compliance, or asset protection, ideally in a multi-site environment.
Strong leadership and coaching skills with the ability to influence all levels of management.
Proven experience in developing and implementing operational processes across diverse portfolios.
Working knowledge of security, inventory, POS, and fraud prevention solutions.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional and customer-focused approach.
Analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex data into meaningful insights.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Qualifications and Experience:
Experience in inventory management, audit, or stock take processes is highly desirable.
Ability to travel within Australia
Previous knowledge of Michael Hill systems and processes is an advantage but not essential.
