Join our ever-growing Finance Team in this new position – Financial Accountant (Banking/AR). Reporting to the Banking & AR Team Lead this new role will assist the Banking Team to reconcile all General Ledger accounts that are impacted by the day-to-day transacting of online and instore customer purchases across all global markets. This role will also actively identify and support ongoing improvements within the transactional banking team.
This fast-paced role will suit someone with a retail background, experienced within global markets, foreign currency and end-to-end reconciliations. Providing expert advice to our retail stores and working cross functionally with other internal departments is also a key part of this new role.

More about this role:
Prepare end-to-end balance sheet reconciliations for all banking-related clearing GL accounts, marketplaces and bank accounts with best practice, accountability and accuracy.
Review end-to-end balance sheet reconciliations for all credit provider GL accounts for all brands and regions.
Assist with reviewing general journals raised by the Banking & AR Team, with a view to understanding the flow on financial impacts on the General Ledger and external bank transaction matching software (Blackline).
Provide support to the wider Finance team and other internal departments, such as Retail Operations and the Internal Audit & Risk teams.
Mentor the junior members within the team.
Continually review processes through the lens of process improvement.
More about you:
An accounting degree or equivalent.
Completed (or currently studying) CPA or CA program.
Experience in reconciling high-volume transactional balance sheet GL accounts, including foreign currency and intercompany elements.
Previous experience with an ERP system (proficiency in MS Dynamics 365 (D365) advantageous).
Highly developed written and oral skills, especially when partnering with stakeholders outside of Finance.
Detail-oriented, efficient, organised and professional.
