Are you a technically strong finance professional who thrives on complex reporting, governance and audit excellence?
Michael Hill is seeking an experienced Finance Manager (Financial Reporting) to lead the delivery of high-quality financial and statutory reporting across the Group. This is a critical role within our Finance Leadership team, providing technical expertise, financial integrity and trusted partnership at a Group level.
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will lead the Financial Reporting team and play a key role in month-end, half-year and full-year close, statutory reporting, audit management and ASX reporting requirements.
What you’ll be responsible for
- Leading end-to-end financial reporting and close processes across month-end, half-year and year-end
- Delivering consolidated Group management reporting and statutory financial statements
- Managing complex technical accounting areas including leases, impairment, share-based payments and provisions
- Preparing high-quality accounting papers and supporting judgements for senior leadership review
- Coordinating external audits and acting as the primary operational contact with auditors
- Supporting ASX reporting processes, including half-year and full-year results and market disclosures
- Driving continuous improvement across reporting quality, close efficiency and system utilisation
- Leading, coaching and developing the Financial Reporting team
What you’ll bring
- 8+ years’ accounting experience, with strong background in financial and statutory reporting
- CPA or CA qualification
- Proven experience in multi-entity or complex corporate environments
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, including AASB compliance
- Experience supporting half-year and full-year reporting in an ASX-listed environment
- Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders, auditors and regulators
- Advanced Excel capability and ERP experience (Dynamics 365 advantageous)
